One of Bacht’s specialties is the installation of cycloramas in all conceivable sizes and shapes. For structural reasons, our specialists only use a single material for their surfaces: gypsum plaster. This material has the ideal properties for this purpose and guarantees that no cracks will form over time.
The quality can be recognized by the homogeneous surfaces and seamless connections. To achieve this, we apply several layers, each of which is carefully sanded. On request, we can also apply a sealant to protect the surface and make it more durable. The stud frame consists of ribs and metal frames adapted to the respective room situation, which are either mounted in front of existing walls or freestanding.

The perfect background for photo and video studios
Cycloramas remove the visual spatial limitations of a studio caused by floors, walls, and ceilings, creating the illusion of infinite space. Different lighting options offer a wide range of possibilities for perfectly staging the object to be photographed without distracting corners or edges limiting the creative options.
Coves are also ideal for complex motifs that need to be isolated for further processing. With the completely uniform background and appropriate lighting, no further image editing is necessary. Cycloramas also enable uniform lighting and perfectly reflected surfaces when photographing large objects such as furniture or objects with highly reflective surfaces like cars.
In addition to standard cycloramas, which have a straight design, we offer almost any desired shape, including corner solutions, round horizons, and variants with top return (see photo), which greatly expand the effective usable shooting angle upwards – a major advantage in studios with limited ceiling height.
Precision and durability
Our cycloramas consists of a special substructure with a seamless pure plaster coating that can be produced in any length. This guarantees that it will remain crack-free, which is often a problem with different materials that are not processed in a stress-free manner, even after a short period of time. It connects seamlessly to the existing floor surface on site. The wall surface is constructed from large-format gypsum plasterboards, which are homogeneously filled and sanded with reinforced joint filler. Finally, a test coat of white emulsion paint is applied. This system allows individual adaptation to all structural conditions, such as installation on existing solid walls, free-standing metal stud constructions, round structures, etc.
